Following Samsung Electronics' assessment of environmental substances in December 2004, on April 19, 2005 our company's
Anyang plant, Suwon plant, and China (Qingdao) plant obtained ECO Partner certification from Samsung Electronics.
This signifies that no environmentally hazardous substances are used in the products SAMJIN manufactures or in its manufacturing processes,
and that the company has in place the organization and management systems
to ensure that such hazardous substances will not be used in the future either.
Our company has already, since July 2004, ceased using materials containing lead and cadmium in its products
(lead-free transition completed), and having additionally obtained certification of non-use of the six substances restricted under RoHS (lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, and PBDEs)
as well as certification of the related management system (ECO Partner certification), we have enhanced our competitiveness
and are now positioned to pursue aggressive marketing at home and abroad on more favorable terms than our industry peers.
